Dear Dr. and Mrs. D.A. Waite, Sr., and Mr. D.A. Waite, Jr., 

I have appreciated the lifelong work that you both have done, particularly in keeping numerous materials available, which defend the King James Bible. I would like to believe that your recent response is not the result of maliciousness, but the result of advancing age, which understandably could make it more difficult for both you and I to keep up with the latest research, to astutely evaluate new research, or to defend one's position with the calm confidence and adroitness of youth. As we age, however, our spiritual reserves should hold us in good stead. I was so sorry to see that you seemed to relinquish those reserves of the fruit of the spirit ¾  love, gentleness, meekness, longsuffering, and temperance, and instead have resorted to the carnal "weak and beggarly" weapons, in your warfare to promote your views. Such behavior is so uncharacteristic of the Waites, and so frowned upon in the scriptures. It strikes fear into my heart to realize that no one is above forgoing charity. "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling symbol...Charity suffereth long and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up...thinketh no evil...believeth all things" (1 Cor. 13:1).

 It has been brought to my attention that you have published inaccurate statements regarding my work, or me in several editions of your BFT Update newsletter (both e-mail and hard copy) and on several radio programs hosted by Mrs. Waite, one with D.A. Waite, Jr. as a guest. My attorney, Hugh A. Richeson, has requested that I enumerate these misstatements for you (See e-mail ATTACHMENT) and ask that you immediately publish retractions and apologies, in the same format and to the same audiences. Send me notification and documentation that you have done so. If I have not received said notification by Jan. 18, 2010 (two weeks), I will be forced to rectify the situation through those avenues open to me.

This all can be resolved easily and in a Christian manner by your quick response. To leave uncorrected your misstatements or to continue to foment your "evil surmisings" can only discredit your heretofore good ministry. Wouldn't our adversary be pleased if folks remember you, not as the defenders of the KJB, but as undependable resources and busybodies? I have been received letters, none of which impugn me, but all of which echo, What in the world has possessed' the Waites, of late?' Please return to your charge of fighting the enemy. I am not the enemy. "But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say, then, Walk in the Spirit..." (Gal. 5:15, 16).
